Job summary

Amcogiffen is recruiting an Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor to support commercial delivery on rail and civil engineering projects in Scotland. The role covers cost planning, forecasting and reporting across a diverse project portfolio.

You will work with operational teams to maximise value, minimise risk and ensure profitable outcomes while handling procurement and contract administration in NEC framework environments.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a relevant construction subject.
• Strong commercial awareness and cost-control experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost plans, budgets and forecasts throughout project delivery.
• Analyse drawings and specs to identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Support tendering with pricing information and documentation.
• Manage procurement, quotes, and subcontractor packages.
• Measure and value works on site and prepare interim payments.
• Administer variations, claims and final accounts.
• Maintain project cost reporting and CVRs.
• Build relationships with project teams, clients and suppliers.
