Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Radiology Receptionist to join the Churchill Hospital team. The role is 37.5 hours per week on a fixed-term contract for 12 months, with rotation shifts covering early, mid and late blocks. You will greet patients, verify information on hospital systems, support patient flow, and handle courtesy calls alongside administrative tasks.

A proactive, compassionate approach and NHS experience are essential. Probation is 6 months.

Qualifications

• Good general level of education to include GCSE English & Maths.
• Intermediate IT knowledge and Microsoft applications.
• Proven customer care experience face to face and on the telephone.
• Working within the NHS.
• Hospital computer system experience.
• Experience of exercising confidentiality.

Responsabilités

• Responsibilities include liaising with clinical staff regarding patient arrival times and safety information, and receiving enquiries by various methods of media, including telephone, email and an internal intercom system.
• The candidate will ensure all reception tasks are completed accurately using the electronic computer systems CRIS and EPR.
• Attending patients in real time for their appointments, and record and elevate queries comprehensively to the administration and clinical staff.
• In addition, they are responsible for various administration tasks to include follow up communication with patients that have failed to attend appointments, courtesy calls and monitoring the waiting room to ensure patients are accommodated in a timely manner.
• This post is subject to a 6-month probationary period.
