Job summary

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Assistant General Manager for Radiology to lead operational delivery in the Radiology service. 30 hours per week, 12-month fixed-term maternity cover, ensuring timely diagnostics and high quality patient pathways.

You will work closely with the General Manager, clinical leads and teams to drive performance, implement improvements, manage workforce and report on key metrics while maintaining patient safety and experience.

Qualifications

• Candidates need GCSEs in English and Maths at C or higher and a degree or equivalent NHS operational experience.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development such as management training (I Lead, I Manage).
• Experience working in NHS operational/admin roles with service delivery responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operational management of Radiology services and RTT/cancer pathways.
• Lead performance monitoring, capacity planning, and service improvement initiatives.
• Develop workforce plans, recruitment, induction and staff development.
• Prepare reports for operational forums and deputise for the General Manager.
