Job summary

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks an Assistant General Manager in Radiology, Band 6 (30 hours per week). You will support day-to-day operational management, ensuring timely diagnostic access and high standards of safety, quality and patient experience.

You will drive performance against RTT and cancer targets, lead service improvements, and deputise for the General Manager while building relationships with clinical and admin teams within the Radiology service.

Qualifications

• Experience in NHS operational or administrative environment desired.
• Experience of coordinating teams, workload prioritisation and staff supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support operational delivery and performance management of Radiology services, ensuring RTT, cancer and diagnostic targets are met.
• Monitor waiting lists, capacity and demand; identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Lead service improvement and transformation initiatives; prepare reports for forums; manage recruitment, induction, appraisal and training.
