Qualifications

• HCPC registration is essential and you will have an extensive radiography background.
• Postgraduate qualifications are desirable and you should have leadership experience in a sub-department.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude are required.
• Ability to ensure regulatory compliance and patient safety in a busy radiology department.
• Flexible approach to shift patterns and staff support is important.

Responsibilities

• Support the Radiology Manager to run the department effectively and safely.
• Maintain clinical skills through regular sessions and audits.
• Coordinate equipment training for radiographers and radiologists.
• Liaise with local research facilities to maintain research activity.
• Contribute to risk assessment, health & safety, and infection control updates.
• Assist in evaluating new equipment and developing diagnostic procedures.
