Job summary

Datacareers is seeking a Radio Comms Technician to support the organisation's radio communications infrastructure. The role entails ensuring the radio estate operates reliably, with responsibilities across testing, maintenance, and documentation.

Qualifications

Experience in radio communications, preferably for policing or public service.
Strong written and oral communication with a customer-focused approach.
Ability to troubleshoot logically in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

Testing and provisioning of radio hardware and software per standards.
Routine maintenance to meet business requirements and ensure operational integrity.
Resolve problems proactively with colleagues and external resources.
Maintain documentation of hardware, software, and configuration changes.
Monitor and manage stock of radios and ancillaries; liaise with suppliers to mitigate delays.
Ensure radio estate security aligns with Home Office guidelines.
Handle support requests and incidents per procedures, logging all details.
