About the role

We are hiring a Radiation Technical Advisor to oversee compliance with regulations governing radiation sources at The University of Manchester.

Working within the Radiation Safety Unit, you will support the University to maintain compliance with Ionising and Non-ionising Radiation Regulations, assist in compliance associated with radiological transport and safeguard, and manage the safe use of x‑radiation equipment. Additionally, you will collaborate on submissions for the Office for Nuclear Regulations, assist in the management of process for the use of fissile materials, deliver radiological protection training, and support laser, UV and EMF safety compliance.

This role offers a hybrid approach of home and office working.
