Job summary

Saab UK Fareham is seeking a Radar Instructor to deliver operator and maintainer training across sensor systems at sites in Fareham and globally. You will develop, create and maintain educational material and contribute to technical publications.

The role requires teaching experience, radar or electronic systems expertise, willingness to travel abroad up to three weeks per training event, and eligibility for SC-level clearance. A UK driving licence and military experience are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience of radar, communications or sophisticated electronic systems.
• Teaching or instructional experience.
• Willingness to travel within UK and globally; up to 3 weeks per training event.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Security clearance to SC level or ability to gain it.
• UK or Swedish citizenship due to handling military secret materials.
• ONC/HNC level or equivalent in a technical area.
• Previous military experience or exposure.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver operator and maintainer courses for sensor systems.
• Administration and reporting of training events.
• Operate and fault-find on customer sensor systems to enhance training.
• Solicit, compile, analyse and react to student feedback.
• Provide feedback and input into sensor technical publications.
• Support demonstrations, trials, exercises and market growth activities.
