Job summary

Fareham Introduction Saab UK is seeking a Radar Instructor to support our sensor systems portfolio. You will plan and deliver operator and maintainer courses across our UK and Swedish sites, and at customer locations worldwide.

You will develop educational material, compile technical publications, and provide SME input. Travel within the UK and globally, up to three weeks per training event, and obtain National Security Vetting clearance to SC level.

Qualifications

• Experience with radar, communications or sophisticated electronic systems.
• Teaching or instructional experience.
• Experience in a technical customer-facing environment with problem-solving and leadership under pressure.
• Willingness to travel UK and globally; up to 3 weeks per training event.
• Full UK driving licence.
• UK or Swedish citizenship due to security requirements.
• National Security Vetting clearance to SC level or ability to gain it.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver operator and maintainer courses on a variety of sensor systems.
• Administration and reporting of training events as required.
• Operate and fault-find on customer sensor systems to enhance training.
• Solicit, compile, analyse and react to student feedback.
• Provide feedback and input into sensor technical publications.
• Provide support to demonstrations, trials, exercises and other market growth activities.
