Centrica - CHP invites an experienced data scientist or ML expert to lead a team within Energised Futures, Centrica's in-house research incubator. You will shape automation strategy, run complex research projects, and translate outputs for cross-sector impact.

The role blends London-based leadership with international collaboration, including Antwerp, with a flexible hybrid working pattern and a strong emphasis on innovation and decarbonisation.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s with relevant years of research or industry experience.
• Experience with ML libraries and deployment tools.
• Strong programming skills in Python and other languages.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of research engineers.
• Oversee technical projects and own the strategy for the automation area.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Centrica, academia and industry.
