Prime Appointments Ltd is seeking an experienced R&D Project Manager for the Colchester area to drive electronics projects from concept through to delivery.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams across hardware, software, mechanical design and manufacturing, coordinating schedules, risks and stakeholder communications to ensure milestones are met.

The role offers growth in a forward-thinking engineering business focused on delivering innovative products.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering New Product Development (NPD) projects.
• Strong planning and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven project management experience in engineering or R&D environments.
• Previous team leadership or line management experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering and NPD projects from concept through to delivery.
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets and resource requirements.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across hardware, software, mechanical design and manufacturing.
• Identify and manage project risks, priorities and deadlines.
• Communicate project progress and key milestones to senior stakeholders.
• Lead and support a small project coordination team.
• Drive improvements in project management processes and reporting.
