Prime Appointments Ltd is seeking an experienced R&D Project Manager for the Colchester area to drive electronics projects from concept through to delivery.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams across hardware, software, mechanical design and manufacturing, coordinating schedules, risks and stakeholder communications to ensure milestones are met.

The role offers growth in a forward-thinking engineering business focused on delivering innovative products.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering New Product Development (NPD) projects.
• Strong planning and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven project management experience in engineering or R&D environments.
• Previous team leadership or line management experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.

R&D Project Manager | Colchester Area | Up to £60,000 | Electronics

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced R&D Project Manager to join an established and innovative engineering business in the Colchester area.

This role will involve managing a range of technical projects from concept through to completion, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams across the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage engineering and New Product Development (NPD) projects from initial concept through to delivery
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets and resource requirements
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across hardware, software, mechanical design and manufacturing
• Identify and manage project risks, priorities and deadlines
• Communicate project progress and key milestones to senior stakeholders
• Lead and support a small project coordination team
• Drive improvements in project management processes and reporting

About You

• Proven Project Management experience within engineering, R&D or product development
• Experience delivering New Product Development (NPD) projects
• Strong planning, organisational and stakeholder management skills
• Previous team leadership or line management experience
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
• Relevant engineering or project management qualifications would be advantageous
• Experience with Smartsheet or Teamwork would be beneficial
