Job summary

Redline Group Ltd in Rochester, Kent is seeking a Project Manager to lead hardware product development and sustaining activities. You will manage design, development cycles, and product maintenance for electronic hardware, working with analog and digital electronics and collaborating with a multidisciplinary R&D team.

The role requires a proven track record delivering engineering projects within a manufacturing environment, strong communication, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Strong track record delivering engineering projects in a manufacturing setting.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, technically excellent, business savvy and a strong communicator.
• PM from a manufacturing background, mechanical or electronic.

Responsibilities

• Create project plans, present to and review with customers.
• Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams (hardware, software, mechanical).
• Manage NPI development and ensure on-time, quality, cost targets.
• Experience with electronic assembly techniques.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
• Lead projects using Waterfall and Scrum methodologies.

Are you a Project Manager looking for the next step in your career, based in Rochester, Kent?

My client are a world leading manufacturer of commercial and industrial fire detection and emergency lighting solutions. They are looking for a Project Manager to lead the design, develop and sustain electronic hardware products. The job will include working on development cycles for existing products and new product development. You will also be doing analogue and digital design at system, product, and circuit level. The successful candidate will be working alongside the existing multidiscipline R&D team but should also be comfortable working alone.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record in delivery of engineering projects; they will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, technically excellent, business savvy and a strong communicator.

The successful Project Manager will come from a manufacturing background, either mechanical or electronic background.

Skills and Responsibilities of this Project Manager job:

• Create project plans, present to and review with customers.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to cross functional project teams (hardware, software, mechanical).
• Manage the NPI development and ensure new products are delivered on time and to quality and cost targets.
