Job summary

The Project Management Department at Pickering Interfaces seeks an experienced R&D Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary projects from initiation through release. You will ensure on-time delivery, defined scope, and alignment with business objectives, driving execution with planning, risk management, and clear communication.

You will coordinate with Hardware, Mechanical, Software, NPI and QA teams across the UK, US and Czech Republic, reporting progress to R&D leadership, managing

Qualifications

• Experience delivering projects in fast-paced cross-functional engineering, product development, or R&D environments.
• Experience line managing individuals or teams.
• Experience using project management tools (Smartsheet and Teamwork advantageous) and MS 365 applications.

Responsibilities

• Project Ownership & Delivery: accountable for successful delivery within scope, timelines and budgets.
• Project Planning & Setup: develop and maintain resource plans; clarify scope, timelines, milestones and dependencies.
• Stakeholder Management: build relationships across R&D, Product, Production, Quality, Procurement and Operations.
• Decision Making & Prioritisation: facilitate timely decisions, balance competing activities, maintain momentum.
• Conflict & Risk Management: identify risks, implement mitigation actions and resolve issues.
• Project Reporting: provide regular status updates to Head of R&D and stakeholders.
• Project Systems Ownership: maintain PM tools and processes; drive continuous improvement.
• Line Management: lead and coach the team, drive high performance and development.
