Job summary

Zero Surplus is seeking a Technical Administrator for its R&D team in the UK. You will build and maintain product technical files, ensuring they are complete, current and correct to support development across UK and China.

You’ll use a PLM system and Excel to manage specifications, data, costings and quotations, while owning the Product Release Order process. This admin-focused role emphasizes attention to detail and proactive data management, with reports that drive meetings and product

Qualifications

• A couple of years in admin, ideally in a technical or engineering setting.
• Intermediate Excel with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs; comfortable with exported data.
• Very close attention to detail.
• Confident and persuasive; comfortable chasing engineers for data.
• ERP or PLM experience (SAP, NetSuite, Navision, Oracle) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain product technical files in line with UK, European and North American regulations.
• Support development teams in the UK and China using PLM system and Excel for specs, data, costings and quotations.
• Own the Product Release Order process from start to production release.
• Produce the weekly NPD report and the monthly KPI and carbon data reports.
