Job summary

Orion Electrotech is seeking a PLM Analyst to lead the strategy, development, and day-to-day management of its PLM, PDM, and CAD environments. You will work with engineering, IT and business stakeholders to drive the PLM roadmap and oversee system upgrades, licensing, and data governance.

This role requires strong PLM experience in automotive or complex engineering, proficiency with CAD systems (Siemens NX), and proven ability to deliver implementations, migrations, and process improvements

Qualifications

• Previous PLM experience within automotive or complex engineering.
• Strong knowledge of CAD systems, ideally Siemens NX.
• Experience delivering system implementations, upgrades, testing, and data migrations.
• Understanding of engineering processes including BOM management, change control, and design release workflows.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• An analytical mindset with the ability to use data and reporting to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead selection, deployment, and ongoing management of PLM solutions.
• Developing and delivering strategic roadmaps for PLM and CAD system enhancement.
• Managing CAD environments, including Siemens NX and associated engineering databases.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to define and implement business requirements and processes.
• Supporting legacy CAD and PDM environments where required.
• Managing engineering software licensing, maintenance renewals, and budgets.
• Producing reporting and analytics to support service performance and budgeting decisions.
• Providing user support, training, and best-practice guidance.
• Developing procedures, documentation, and work instructions.
• Managing relationships with external vendors and technology partners.
• Building and leading a high-performing PLM team.

Our client, an innovative engineering and manufacturing organisation, is seeking a PLM Analyst to lead the strategy, development, and day-to-day management of its Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), PDM, and CAD environments.

Working closely with engineering, IT, and business stakeholders, you will drive the PLM roadmap, oversee system upgrades and enhancements, manage engineering software assets, and ensure robust data and process governance across the product development lifecycle.
