Walsall Council seeks a Revenues & Benefits Assistant to support Council Tax income collection and recovery processes. You will handle enquiries by phone, letter and email, negotiate payment arrangements, and ensure compliance with policy, GDPR and security requirements.
The role requires knowledge of Council Tax billing, exemptions and payment arrangements, with a focus on accurate records and customer service. The position supports in court proceedings and debt recovery work.
G6: £31,537 -£34,434 per annum
We currently have an exciting opportunity available within the Council Tax team, as a Revenues and Benefits Assistant.
You will ensure the delivery of efficient and effective local taxation administration and collection and support the delivery of an effective Revenue collection service covering Council Tax and Business Rates.
