Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK is seeking a Quarry Operative to join our site-based team in Wales. You will operate a range of mobile and static plant, support processing activities and contribute to safe, efficient production of construction materials.

The role emphasises health and safety, teamwork and a proactive approach. Training will be provided to gain additional plant competencies, with opportunities for career progression within a global organisation.

Responsibilities

• Operating mobile and static plant safely and efficiently in line with company procedures and training.
• Carrying out routine plant maintenance, including refuelling, greasing and cleaning.
• Supporting the operation of the main processing plant and associated equipment.
• Completing daily plant inspections and reporting any defects or issues.
• Ensuring equipment is maintained in good working order and operated economically.
• Reporting faults, defects and operational concerns to the General Foreman.
• Contributing to a positive safety culture by identifying and reporting near misses.
• Assisting with general site housekeeping and maintenance activities.
• Supporting colleagues across the site as required to achieve operational objectives.
