Heidelberg Materials Limited in the Builth Wells area is hiring a Quarry Operative to join a team keeping essential materials moving across the UK. You will operate mobile and static plant safely, perform routine maintenance and support the processing plant to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Experience operating mobile plant in quarry, construction, industrial or similar environment.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
• Willingness to undertake training and gain additional plant operation competencies.

Responsibilities

• Operating mobile and static plant safely and efficiently in line with company procedures and training.
• Carrying out routine plant maintenance, including refuelling, greasing and cleaning.
• Supporting the operation of the main processing plant and associated equipment.
• Completing daily plant inspections and reporting any defects or issues.
• Ensuring equipment is maintained in good working order and operated economically.
• Reporting faults, defects and operational concerns to the General Foreman.
• Contributing to a positive safety culture by identifying and reporting near misses.
• Assisting with general site housekeeping and maintenance activities.
• Supporting colleagues across the site as required to achieve operational objectives.
