Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day quarry operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality output. You will work with the Site Manager, coach site personnel, and uphold health and safety standards across the site.

In this hands-on role, you will support maintenance planning, monitor plant performance, and contribute to reporting and cost control while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or leadership experience in quarry, aggregates, mining, or heavy industry.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental excellence.
• Excellent communication and people management skills.
• Ability to organise workloads, prioritise tasks, and make sound operational decisions.
• Experience managing maintenance activities and operational performance.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• IT literacy and ability to maintain records and reports.

Responsibilities

• Support Site Manager in delivering safe and efficient quarry operations.
• Assist with maintenance planning and ensure servicing and repairs are on schedule.
• Help manage plant performance, production activities, and resources.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and operational records.
• Contribute to period-end reporting, stock returns, production data, and breakdown analysis.
• Promote a customer-focused approach and build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Lead site personnel through coaching, training, and mentoring.
