Job summary

The Quarry Manager role at Tarmac Torcoed Quarry in Porthyrhyd near Carmarthen, South Wales, leads day-to-day quarrying and asphalt plant operations, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and cost control.

You will manage a skilled team, drive continuous improvement, maintain procedures, training, and KPI reporting, while delivering for customers across the Southwest region. This on-site role offers a collaborative environment and career development.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in quarry technology or extractives.
• SHE NVQ 4 or QCF Level 6 qualification is preferred.
• Experience with risk assessments, SOPs and training.

Responsibilities

• Lead quarry and asphalt plant operations on site.
• Manage budget and produce operational reports.
• Maintain SOPs and training matrix.
• Ensure safety, compliance and maintenance of equipment.
• Report monthly KPIs for the site.
