Job summary

Tarmac Trading Limited is seeking a Quarry Manager to lead Clitheroe Quarry in Lancashire. You’ll head the site, drive safety and performance, manage production and maintenance, and coordinate contractors while building capability across the team.

You’ll report to the Operations Manager and shape regional objectives through continuous improvement and strong leadership, ensuring cost efficiency and regulatory compliance at the site.

Qualifications

• Experience in quarrying or related operational environment.
• Proven leadership as Quarry Manager or similar role.
• Eligibility to act as Quarry Manager under Regulation 8.1(c) or clear pathway.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team.
• Drive a strong safety culture where everyone goes home safe.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and statutory requirements.
• Manage all aspects of quarry operations including production, maintenance and contractor activities.
• Lead and coordinate contract crushing operations.
• Own site performance, deliver KPIs and budget commitments.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Develop robust systems of work, training plans and controls.
• Build relationships with colleagues, contractors and stakeholders across the business.
