Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing team delivering water mains renewal and infrastructure projects across the Thames Water network from Maple Cross (Rickmansworth). You will manage commercial aspects, cost control, forecasting and contract administration to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience managing project costs, reporting and forecasting.
• Good understanding of NEC contracts and commercial management principles.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction-related field.
• Professional accreditation or working towards chartered status is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial and cost control aspects of water mains renewal projects across the Thames Water framework.
• Assist with project budgeting, cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Provide commercial and contractual support to operational and project delivery teams.
• Administer NEC contracts and support management of contractual obligations and risks.
• Prepare valuations, applications for payment, compensation events, and variations.
• Monitor project performance and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts.
• Support procurement activities and subcontractor management.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Produce accurate monthly commercial reports and project forecasts.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across project delivery teams.
