Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing Water and Utilities team. Based at Maple Cross (Rickmansworth), you will drive commercial performance across capital works, ensuring cost control, forecasting accuracy and proactive risk management within the Thames Water framework.

You will lead on valuations, payments and final accounts, manage budgets and reporting, and support procurement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in construction/utilities/infrastructure.
• Experience on water/utilities/civil engineering or pipeline projects is preferred.
• Strong NEC contracts knowledge and contract administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial and cost management for Thames Water framework projects.
• Manage budgets, cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow.
• Provide commercial & contractual support to operational teams.
• Administer NEC contracts and mitigate risks.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability and performance.
• Prepare valuations, payment applications, and final accounts.
• Monitor costs and manage change control processes.
• Build relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.
