Job summary

J3a Recruitment is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to work on water infrastructure projects in the Thames Valley/Reading area. The role focuses on managing the commercial performance of live projects and supporting a major AMP8 pipeline across water treatment infrastructure.

Responsibilities include CVRs, forecasting, cash flow, cost control, sub-contractor procurement, and contract administration, with involvement in final accounts and risk management.

Qualifications

• Quantity Surveying experience within construction/infrastructure
• Strong understanding of contracts, measurement & valuation
• Confident managing subcontractors and commercial negotiations
• Experience producing CVRs and financial forecasts
• Comfortable working across live construction projects
• Water / wastewater / treatment experience would be a massive advantage
• RICS or similar professional membership desirable, but not essential

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial performance of live projects
• Monthly CVRs, forecasting, cash flow & cost control
• Subcontract procurement from enquiry through to final account
• Applications for payment & contract administration
• Managing variations, change control & commercial risk
• Working closely with operational and project teams
• Supporting final accounts & dispute avoidance
• Supporting and mentoring junior commercial team members
