Job summary

Alexander Associates is seeking a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to join a growing team in Manchester. With 2–5 years of experience, you will support commercial management from inception to completion and help maximise project profitability.

You will work with Project Managers, Design Engineers and the commercial team to control costs, manage risk, and maintain client and subcontractor relationships across a range of engineering projects.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years Quantity Surveying experience in a relevant sector.
• Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, submit and monitor payment applications.
• Track invoices, certificates and payment schedules.
• Raise EWNs and manage variations and change events.
• Support cost forecasting and estimating for projects.
• Produce monthly CVRs and monitor costs and POs.
• Review contracts and subcontract terms and conditions.
• Support subcontract management and progress reporting.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
