Job summary

Alexander Associates Limited is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding commercial team in the Hampton area, London. The role focuses on overseeing commercial performance across major water and infrastructure projects, driving cost control and contractual compliance.

You will manage contracts, support subcontractors, and contribute to cost reporting and commercial updates while mentoring junior team members within a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts.
• Excellent commercial and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial responsibility for assigned projects and work packages.
• Collaborate with design, construction, and supply chain teams to monitor and control project costs.
• Build and maintain productive client relationships to ensure project and business objectives are achieved.
• Manage contracts, including the administration of contractual notices and correspondence.
• Prepare and issue subcontract documentation.
• Support the management and performance of subcontractors.
• Manage applications for payment, valuations, and final accounts.
• Produce accurate cost reports, budgets, forecasts, and commercial updates.
• Support and mentor junior members of the commercial team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and commercial best practices.
• Maintain awareness of industry developments through ongoing professional development.
• Ensure a professional, solutions-focused approach when engaging with stakeholders.
• Adhere to company procedures relating to confidentiality, governance, and compliance.
