Job summary

WES, part of the RSE Group, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a permanent basis to manage financial and commercial aspects of water industry projects. You will work with an established delivery team and occasionally visit other offices.

The role requires a RICS qualification, ability to read drawings, experience with contract final accounts and NEC contracts is a plus. Strong IT skills (Excel) and a full UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• RICS qualification or equivalent in surveying/engineering.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications for Bills of Quantities and procurement docs.
• Experience in contract final accounts including valuations and variations.
• Experience in NEC contracts would be beneficial.
• Good IT literacy with Excel.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of Activity Schedules, Bills of Quantities and Resource profiling.
• Preparation of Applications for Payment for submission to Client(s).
• Reviewing project work scopes, notifying, and preparing variations as necessary.
• Sub-contract administration including developing sub-contract documents, reviewing, and agreeing valuations, managing variations, and negotiating final accounts.
• Analysing the commercial progress of allocated projects with the delivery team.
• Preparing internal reports such as financial reconciliation and anticipated project performance.
• Negotiating final accounts with Client(s).
