Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor (Structures) based in Glasgow to support an Education Facility project. You will manage costs, value, and commercial performance for building and structural work packages, working with the project team and supply chain.

The role requires experience in building or major construction projects, strong cost control and stakeholder-management skills, and a collaborative approach to delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in building, structural or major construction projects.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and programme information.
• Experience preparing forecasts, cost reports and cost-value reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Measuring, valuing works per contract requirements and procedures.
• Manage commercial performance of structural and building work packages.
• Prepare bills of quantities, schedules of rates and first-principle estimates.
• Procure subcontractors and manage enquiries, tenders and adjudications.
• Maintain cost/value information and report on commercial progress.
