Job summary

Balvac, part of the Balfour Beatty Group, is recruiting a permanent Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial performance across structural maintenance and concrete-repair projects. The role is based near Warrington with attendance at the office for two to three days a week.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will oversee quantity surveyors and commercial admins, manage subcontract accounts, resolve disputes, and drive change control, valuations, and weekly expenditure reporting.

Qualifications

• Established quantity-surveying experience.
• Knowledge of NEC4 contracts.
• Experience with budgets, forecasts, and profit/loss reporting.
• Strong communication and MS Office skills.
• Experience in structural repair preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage change control and valuations.
• Prepare weekly expenditure reports and WIP records.
• Prepare payment applications and support cash-flow targets.
• Assist with annual budgets, monthly forecasts and P&L reporting.
• Provide commercial advice to project, contracts and commercial managers.
