Job summary

Cornerstone Project Source is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial and cost aspects of structural steel and off-site construction projects, from tender through to final account, in North Yorkshire.

Start Date ASAP. Salary £60,000-£70,000 per annum (DOE). Requirements include a degree in Quantity Surveying (or related field) and proven experience in structural steel, off-site manufacturing, and knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within structural steel, off-site manufacturing, or the wider construction sector.
• Strong knowledge of forms of contract (JCT/NEC)

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets and cash flow forecasts for structural steel and off-site packages
• Measure and value works in progress; prepare interim valuations and applications for payment
• Manage subcontractor procurement, accounts and payments, including sub-contract orders and variations
• Prepare, negotiate and agree final accounts with clients and subcontractors
• Produce monthly cost/value reconciliation (CVR) reports for management
