Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor specialized in structural steel for fast‑moving London projects. You will run budgets, cost plans and early commercial guidance to keep outcomes tight.

You will track cash flow, forecast variances and manage commercial performance across multiple steel packages, working with PMs, estimators and site teams. This steel-focused role requires clear client and subcontractor communication, contract awareness and a proactive approach to change

Qualifications

• Quantity Surveying experience within steelwork, construction or engineering.
• Strong commercial grounding – budgets, cost control, variations, forecasting.
• Contract knowledge across engineering or construction environments.
• Confidence working with operational teams.
• Clear communication with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.

The projects are specialist, the engineering is complex, and the order book keeps growing. What they need now is someone who can keep the commercial side tight while the work keeps moving.

The Role

You will run the numbers that keep these steel projects commercially sharp - from the first cost plan to the final account.

This is not a generic building QS role. The work is steel, engineering‑heavy, and moves fast.

The Candidate

Must haves

• Quantity Surveying experience within steelwork, construction or engineering
