The projects are specialist, the engineering is complex, and the order book keeps growing. What they need now is someone who can keep the commercial side tight while the work keeps moving.
You will run the numbers that keep these steel projects commercially sharp - from the first cost plan to the final account.
Build project budgets and cost plans that set the shape of each job
Track cash flow and keep forecasts honest as the work progresses
Manage commercial performance across multiple specialist steel packages
Control variations, valuations and commercial changes
Support contract administration and ensure compliance with the terms that matter
Work with project teams - PMs, estimators, engineering and site - to keep delivery and commercials aligned
This is not a generic building QS role. The work is steel, engineering‑heavy, and moves fast.
Must haves
Quantity Surveying experience within steelwork, construction or engineering
Strong commercial grounding - budgets, cost control, variations, forecasting
Contract knowledge across engineering or construction environments
Confidence working with operational teams
Clear communication with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
Nice to haves
Structural steel project experience
Exposure to infrastructure, aviation or specialist engineering projects
