Job summary

The Highfield Company is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor with structural steel experience in Manchester to manage commercial performance on steel projects from award to final account. You'll work with project managers and site teams, controlling costs, handling variations and final accounts, and liaising with main contractors and subcontractors on major UK steel schemes.

Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, with a proactive approach to procurement and contract

Are you a Quantity Surveyor with structural steel experience looking to work on some of the UK's most impressive projects?

Our client is a leading structural steel contractor delivering major schemes across the UK including bridges, national infrastructure, commercial buildings, and large-scale developments.

Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, supporting the successful delivery of steelwork packages from contract award through to final account.

The Role

You'll work closely with project managers and site teams to manage the commercial performance of structural steel projects, ensuring strong cost control and contractual management.

• Managing project costs and commercial reporting
• Handling variations, valuations, and final accounts
• Monitoring budgets vs project spend
• Liaising with main contractors and subcontractors
