VANRATH are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to work for a leading Specialist Contractor on education, healthcare, commercial, and industrial projects in Antrim, Northern Ireland.

The role focuses on commercial management of projects, producing BOQs, valuations, variations, and final accounts, with a competitive salary (£45,000 - £65,000) and benefits package, plus career progression and a supportive environment. Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' industry experience, including groundwork and civil engineering packages.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, forms, techniques and costs.
• Qualification in Quantity Surveying or membership of a relevant professional body.
• Clear understanding of contractual obligations, breaches and remedies.
• Familiarity with procurement options and current regulatory developments.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the commercial management of projects.
• Ensuring clear and concise measurement, valuations, variations, preparation, submission, and agreement of interim and final accounts.
• Produce BOQs, monitor cash collection, monitor sub-contractor accounts, ensure budgets are met and attend regular finance meetings.
• Assisting in implementing the business plan and developing business opportunities.
• Regular and accurate reporting to the Commercial Manager and Managing Director.
