Job summary

A leading main contractor in Belfast is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, supporting a high-profile hotel development project in London. This role offers long-term career progression and stability, with responsibilities including managing all surveying functions, procurement of subcontract packages, and ensuring project profitability. Ideal candidates will have over 5 years of Quantity Surveying experience and a strong understanding of construction contracts. Hybrid working is available post-probation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
• Strong experience across main contracting projects.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and commercial packages.
• Good understanding of construction contracts (NEC experience beneficial).

A leading main contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, based in Belfast Head Office, supporting a high-profile hotel development project in London.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established contractor delivering complex, design-led schemes across the UK and Ireland, with strong long-term career progression.

The Role

Working as part of a collaborative commercial team, you will be responsible for managing all surveying functions across the project lifecycle, ensuring effective cost control and commercial delivery.

• Procurement and management of subcontract packages
• Preparing valuations, cost reports and final accounts
• Managing variations, cost control and risk analysis
• Liaising with site teams, design teams and subcontractors
• Supporting commercial strategy and ensuring project profitability

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role
• Strong experience across main contracting projects
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and commercial packages
• Good understanding of construction contracts (NEC experience beneficial)
• Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying / Construction

Location & Travel

• Based in Belfast Head Office
• Travel to London required- all expenses covered
