We are looking for two experienced Quantity Surveyors to join our Commercial Division, supporting the successful commercial and contractual management of construction projects from handover through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project costs, budgets, forecasts and commercial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage variations, change control, commercial risks and opportunities.
- Administer construction contracts and maintain accurate contractual records and notices.
- Prepare interim valuations, payment applications and final accounts.
- Assess subcontractor applications, variations and final account submissions.
- Support procurement, subcontractor negotiations and supply chain management.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, Estimators, Procurement and Finance teams.
- Attend project, commercial and client meetings as required.
- Prepare monthly cost/value reconciliations, forecasts and cost-to-complete reports.
- Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost efficiencies.Support and mentor Graduate QSs, HLA students and junior commercial team members.
What We're Looking For
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' post-graduate Quantity Surveying experience within the construction industry.
- Experience working within a main contractor environment.
- Experience across commercial, residential, fit-out and/or refurbishment projects.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Full driving licence and access to own transport.
- Knowledge of JCT, NEC, RIAI and/or PWC contracts.
- Experience with cost reporting systems or ERP platforms.
- RICS, SCSI, CIOB or equivalent professional accreditation, or working towards it.
- Experience mentoring junior commercial staff or students.
