Job summary

BMSL Group Ltd in South Wales seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage social housing retrofit and external wall insulation (EWI) projects. The role covers commercial control, valuations, variations and final accounts within a growing specialist retrofit division.

Permanent and freelance options are considered. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of retrofit construction, social housing delivery and the ability to work independently to solve commercial challenges.

Qualifications

• Previous Quantity Surveying experience within social housing, refurbishment, maintenance or retrofit environments.
• Sound understanding of EWI systems and retrofit construction methods.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of social housing retrofit, refurbishment and planned improvement projects.
• Preparation and management of valuations, variations, cost reports and final accounts.
• Procurement and subcontractor management.
• Supporting operational teams throughout project delivery.
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
• Reviewing project performance and ensuring commercial objectives are achieved.
• Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
