Job summary

Facades Talent Group is recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its client, a specialist façade contractor delivering projects across the building envelope sector in the UK. You will manage commercial aspects from procurement through final account.

The role suits an experienced QS seeking progression or a Senior QS taking ownership of multiple projects and supporting the wider commercial function, with close collaboration with project teams.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in construction.
• Experience in façade, cladding, building envelope or related specialist contractor.
• Knowledge of façade remediation and recladding projects.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction contracts.
• Experience managing valuations, variations, procurement and final accounts.

Responsibilities

Our client is a specialist fa ades contractor delivering projects across the building envelope sector, with a strong focus on fa ade remediation and recladding works.

Due to continued growth and a healthy pipeline of projects, they are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional with experience in fa ades, cladding or remediation to join a growing specialist contractor and play a key role in the successful financial delivery of projects.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of fa ade projects from procurement and contract administration through to final account settlement.

The position would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to progress or an established Senior Quantity Surveyor capable of taking ownership of multiple projects and supporting the wider commercial function.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the commercial and contractual aspects of fa ade, cladding and remediation projects.

Requirements

Essential:

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within construction.
• Experience working within fa ades, cladding, building envelope or a closely related specialist contractor.
• Knowledge of fa ade remediation and recladding projects.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction contracts.
• Experience managing valuations, variations, procurement and final accounts.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work to project deadlines.

Desirable:

• Experience working for a specialist fa ade or remediation contractor.
• Knowledge of rainscreen cladding, curtain walling, glazing and associated building envelope systems.
• Experience with occupied-building remediation and high-rise recladding projects.
• Familiarity with JCT and/or NEC contracts.
• Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying.
