Job summary

Liberty Group is seeking a commercially sharp Quantity Surveyor to support Birmingham City Council's planned and responsive maintenance contract, delivering across 30,000+ properties annually. This high-volume framework offers ownership and influence over cost, cash, and profitability.

Hybrid working arrangement available: 3 days in the office, 2 from home. The role focuses on cost control, labour efficiency, subcontractor payments, and end-to-end commercial activity, with clear progression

• Driving cost control and labour cost management in a direct delivery model.
• Maximising contract value, income & profitability (P&L focus).
• Managing supply chain performance and subcontractor payments.
• Leading applications, valuations & cash collection to improve cashflow.
• Overseeing PMPs, CRMs, and material auditing.
• Owning all commercial activity end-to-end to support operational teams.
