Job summary

Velocity Recruitment is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to take full commercial responsibility for planned maintenance projects in social housing across Birmingham. You will manage subcontractor procurement, payments, valuations, variations and cost forecasts on a long‑term 10‑year framework.

The role offers £65,000–£70,000 plus a competitive benefits package, including an 8% employer pension contribution and clear career progression with a leading national contractor.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Project Quantity Surveyor.
• Experience within planned maintenance, refurbishment, social housing or construction.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
• Ability to manage projects independently.

Birmingham | £65,000 - £70,000 + Package + 8% Pension

We are working with a well‑established planned maintenance main contractor that has secured a 10‑year, £40 million framework with Birmingham City Council. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Project Quantity Surveyor to commercially manage this long‑term social housing contract.

Programme of works includes:

• Kitchen & bathroom replacements
• External refurbishment programmes
• Roofing works and replacements
• General planned maintenance and property upgrades across occupied social housing

The Role
