In its initial phase, the project involves the design and construction of a 15GWh lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility, complete with ancillary buildings and extensive site-wide infrastructure works.

Once complete, this facility will rank among the largest battery production sites in the UK, with the capacity to supply nearly half of the country's projected automotive battery needs by the early 2030s.

The Quantity Surveyor role – MEP – Major project

• Experience as a recognized QS with strong commercial awareness, focusing on profit and cash flow.
• Assist with the management of commercial packages for MEP works.
• Manage various commercial aspects including procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations, and subcontractor packages through to final account.
• Minimize risks, costs, and maximize value through cost checking and analysis of labour, plant, and materials.
• Experience in broad construction and civil engineering sectors, working with main contracting organizations in commercial roles.

Your profile

• Knowledge and experience in managing MEP packages.
• Pre-contract and post-contract experience.
• Large-scale major project or construction management experience.
• Ability to analyze internal and external data and apply sound judgment for strategic decision-making.
• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field.
