In its initial phase, the project involves the design and construction of a 15GWh lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility, complete with ancillary buildings and extensive site-wide infrastructure works.

Once complete, this facility will rank among the largest battery production sites in the UK, with the capacity to supply nearly half of the country's projected automotive battery needs by the early 2030s.

The Quantity Surveyor role – MEP – Major project

• Experience as a recognized QS with strong commercial awareness, focusing on profit and cash management.
• Assist with the commercial packages for the MEP sector.
• Manage various commercial aspects including procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations, and subcontract works packages through to final account.
• Keen to minimize risk and cost while maximizing value through cost checking and analysis of labor, plant, and materials.
• Broad experience in construction and civil engineering industries across various sectors and markets within commercial roles with main contracting organizations.

Your profile

• Knowledge and experience in managing MEP packages.
• Pre-contract and post-contract experience.
• Strategic thinking — ability to analyze internal and external data and apply sound judgment for the business's strategic direction.
• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field.
