Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support a portfolio of projects under the supervision of a Senior QS. You will help ensure value for money and contractual compliance across a range of schemes from £25k to £200M.

The role is based in Reading with hybrid working patterns and a 36-hour week. The ideal candidate will hold a Quantity Surveying degree, be progressing toward Chartered Status, and possess knowledge of water regulation, strong communication, and

Qualifications

• Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Desire to work toward Chartered Status.
• Some knowledge of water regulation (OFWAT Price Review).
• Good communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Support with Commercial Assurance of Major Projects and Programmes Contracts.
• Challenge and agree small-value project tenders.
• Ensure payments are made on time per contract.
• Assess variations on assigned portfolio.
• Attend site meetings on site.
• Data collect relevant contracts on portfolio.
• Audit and agree project accounts.
