Job summary

Mitie Power & Grid is seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor to support commercial management on high‑value UK infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers and clients, ensuring cost control and profitable delivery.

Hybrid working is offered, with opportunities to develop within a growing energy transition business. Relevant NEC/JCT/FIDIC contract experience is preferred and you will contribute to risk and commercial performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Quantity Surveyor or similar role within construction, engineering, infrastructure, utilities or energy sectors.
• Strong cost management and commercial awareness.
• Experience supporting subcontractor management and procurement activities.
• Knowledge of NEC, JCT, FIDIC or similar contracts is desirable.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support commercial management of major infrastructure projects throughout their lifecycle.
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts and CVRs; monitor project costs.
• Assist in contract administration and change management processes.
• Measure and value subcontract works; review applications and final accounts.
• Maintain robust commercial controls and project records.
