Job summary

Turnbull seeks a Quantity Surveyor to support the successful commercial delivery of major NEC contracts at Hinkley Point C. You will manage costs, contracts and change, ensuring accurate reporting and governance.

You will work closely with operations, procurement and client representatives to develop forecasts, CVRs and manage compensation events, delivering value and continuous improvement on a nuclear infrastructure program.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor in large infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge and practical application of NEC contracts, especially NEC Term Service Contracts.
• Experience with cost reporting, forecasting and commercial administration.
• Understanding of compensation events, change management and subcontract accounts.
• Strong commercial awareness with analytical and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline; nuclear sector experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the commercial management of NEC contracts from procurement through final account.
• Assist with commercial risk and opportunity management across projects.
• Prepare and maintain forecasts, cost reports and CVRs.
• Monitor project costs, valuations and financial performance.
• Manage compensation events, change control and subcontract accounts.
• Prepare applications for payment and assess subcontractor applications.
• Support procurement activities and subcontract packages.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and contractual documentation.
• Provide commercial advice and support to operational teams.
• Build relationships with client and stakeholder commercial representatives.
