Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is working with a well-established engineering business in York to recruit a Quantity Surveyor on a hybrid basis. You will manage subcontractor procurement, contracts and payments, and help forecast costs on long-term residential housing projects.

The role offers 3 days on site and 2 days at home after probation, a competitive £55,000–£65,000 salary, car or allowance, enhanced holiday and private medical care, with strong career progression.

Are you a Quantity Surveyor or similar with a background in residential construction, looking to join a rapidly expanding, multifaceted engineering business in a flexible hybrid role, working on long-term contracts with fantastic company benefits including enhanced annual leave, private healthcare and ongoing career progression?

In this Monday - Friday based position, you will work a split of 3 days on site and 2 days upon successful completion of your probationary period. In this varied role, you will manage subcontractor procurement and contracts, build relationships with clients and suppliers, oversee valuations and payments, and accurately forecast costs through to final account agreements. You will also carry out site measurements, assess variations and ensure projects remain within budget and contractual requirements.

This role would suit a Quantity Surveyor with a background in residential projects seeking a flexible hybrid role with internal progression and fantastic company benefits.
