Job summary

Heidelberg Materials in Chipping Sodbury offers a structured Higher Apprenticeship to become a Quantity Surveyor. You’ll be employed from day one, gaining real projects experience while studying part‑time for a Level 6 qualification.

Qualifications

• Education: 112+ UCAS points and 5 GCSEs (Maths, English, Science)
• Driving licence: Full UK licence
• Skills: Self-starter, team player, excellent communicator, flexible and proactive

Responsibilities

• Assist in contract management and negotiating terms with internal/external advisors.
• Help establish financial control systems and manage revenue, costs and cash collection; produce reports.
• Support procurement processes and define terms for subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor payments and prepare subcontractor certificates; ensure financial reporting.
• Learn and uphold Health, Safety & Environment standards across projects.
• Attend structured training sessions and complete the apprenticeship programme.
