Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK is launching an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor Higher Apprenticeship in Whitwick from September 2027. You’ll earn £25,084 from day one and gain a Level 6 Quantity Surveyor qualification as you train.

You’ll work with our Commercial team on real projects, supporting contract management, financial oversight, procurement and payment processes, while studying part-time with a recognised training provider or university.

Qualifications

• Education: 112+ UCAS points and 5 GCSEs including Maths, English and Science
• Driving Licence: Full UK licence
• Skills: Self-starter, team player, excellent communicator, flexible and proactive
• Status: British citizenship or UK settled status

Responsibilities

• Assist in contract management and negotiation of terms and conditions for contracts and sub-contracts.
• Help establish financial control systems for contract execution and produce commercial reports.
• Support procurement process and define responsibilities for subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor customer payments and ensure accurate reporting throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Learn and uphold HSE standards across projects.
• Attend structured training sessions and complete the apprenticeship programme.
