Job summary

Bimplus, Stockport, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor – Fit Out to manage commercial office fit-outs, education, leisure and retail refurbishments nationwide. You will track site progress, prepare monthly valuations and monitor budgets, while maintaining strong client and contractor relationships.

The ideal candidate will have Quantity Surveying experience in fit-out disciplines, be highly organized, IT literate, and able to work in a fast-paced environment both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• Must have Quantity Surveying experience within fit out, plastering, drylining, ceilings etc
• Good technical knowledge and good understanding of industry processes, materials and costs
• Would consider a more junior/trainee with commercial experience with fit out or a quantity surveying graduate
• Highly organised with good attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• IT literate (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Good team player who also works well individually

Responsibilities

• Quantity Surveyor position dealing with fit out projects for various sectors such as; Commercial office fit-out, Education, leisure, retail, healthcare and Industrial refurbishment
• Keeping up to date with site progress, recording progress made, and transferring information onto payment applications
• Prepare on-time monthly valuations following site measurements and work-in-progress reviews
• Keeping track of monthly application figures and ensuring relevant departments are aware of potential budget or financial constraints
• Reviewing labour schedules and comparing to actual progress on site
• Pricing variations and changes in line with subcontractor parameters
• Build, manage & maintain relationships with clients, contractors, other construction professionals, suppliers, and site staff
