Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor – Interior Fit-Out to work office-based in Rossendale with site visits across the North West. You will manage on-site progress, prepare valuations, price variations, and maintain client and contractor relationships on diverse fit-out projects. The role requires extensive QS experience in construction and strong fit-out knowledge, with good communication and IT skills.

Qualifications

• Extensive Quantity Surveying experience in construction.
• Strong understanding of fit out, refurbishment plastering, drylining, ceilings.
• Graduate or trainee with commercial experience in fit out.
• Good technical knowledge of industry processes, materials and costs.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• IT literate (Microsoft Office)

Responsibilities

• Keep site progress updated, record progress and transfer information to payment applications.
• Prepare on-time monthly valuations following site measurements and work-in-progress reviews.
• Review labour schedules and compare to actual site progress.
• Pricing variations and changes in line with subcontractor parameters.
• Maintain monthly application figures and alert departments to budget or financial constraints.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and site staff.

Quantity Surveyor – Fit Out

Office based: Rossendale (With Site visits across the North West)

Remuneration: £60,000 - £80,000neg

The role of the Quantity Surveyor – Interior Fit-Out will involve:

• Quantity Surveyor position dealing with a range of fit-out projects for various sectors (residential, leisure, retail, healthcare, hotels, offices, pubs & restaurants)
• Keeping up to date with site progress, recording progress made, and transferring information onto payment applications
• Prepare on-time monthly valuations following site measurements and work-in-progress reviews
• Reviewing labour schedules and comparing to actual progress on site
• Pricing variations and changes in line with subcontractor parameters
• Keeping track of monthly application figures and ensuring relevant departments are aware of potential budget or financial constraints
• Build, manage & maintain relationships with clients, contractors, other construction professionals, suppliers, and site staff

The ideal applicant will be a Quantity Surveyor – Interior Fit-Out with:

• Must have extensive Quantity Surveying experience within the construction sector
• Ideally have strong understanding of fit out, refurbishment plastering, drylining, ceilings or closely related
• Would consider a more junior/trainee with commercial experience with fit out or a quantity surveying graduate
• Good technical knowledge and good understanding of industry processes, materials and costs
• Highly organised with good attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• IT literate (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Good team player who also works well individually
